Is there a chair that you like to sit in to feed your baby? I make sure I use lots of different angles to create interesting images and capture your family as naturally as possible.

If there’s an area of your home that you’d like to be in, please mention it when we plan your photo session – it all adds to the memories in your photos. You might move home, redecorate or renovate and it’s nice to have the memory of your baby’s first bedroom or the area of the house you spend the most time in together.

Don’t forget your pet!
Yes, I work with children AND animals. I love animals and know what an important part of the family they are. They make a great photo with your toddler playing together, and if your toddler is a bit nervous about the photo session, it helps to make them feel comfortable as it’s all part of being at home.

Indoor/outdoor photos
Do you have some outside space that would work in your photos? We can add that into your collection of photos for a different back drop. Views through the window for an indoor/outdoor vibe or dappled light through the trees outside looks really pretty, and if you’ve got a deck or garden that you can play on, let’s go for it!

What to wear for your at-home photo shoot?
You don’t need to be wearing matching outfits, but co-ordinating colours looks flattering in photos. Since it’s an at-home shoot, think about your interior colours and work with that – whether that’s colourful or neutral. Have and extra outfit handy for your toddler and baby in case of any surprises, and have a throw or baby blanket for your newborn baby to lie on. You’ll get black and white and colour photos so textures show up well too, especially in black and white shots.

I’ve had the privilege to capture this family with three sessions - her toddler as a newborn baby, her second pregnancy and now a family photo session with her toddler, newborn baby, partner and dog. I feel honoured to have seen this family grow over the last couple of years.
